A lot of the entertainment is pretty interactive with the patrons. This is a good ol’ joint where you can just sing ‘til you’re hoarse, drink ‘til you’re drunk, laugh ‘til you’re stomach hurts—and make some hilarious memories to take home with you.
9. Green Parrot's live music
This is the local’s favorite dive bar, and has been voted Best Bar many times over. Walking up to the bar, you will think you are approaching an old shack. Walk inside, and you will find locals and tourists alike, boozing it up and listening to great live music. The acts here are always top-notch bands playing, and you can get your fill of real roots music, from blues, soul, country, African, and rock. The music is free, and the drinks are generous. Check out the calendar on their website to see who is playing, or take a chance and just walk in—you are sure to hear something short of amazing.
